Reasons Why Churches Spread the Teachings in the Bible
All churches incorporate the teachings in the Bible to all Christians in one method or another. Most of these churches would teach verse by verse through the books of the Bible, with the goal of teaching the context in the most accurate manner in order to recognize and respect God?s words to His people. The words of God are being taught in churches in the most in-depth manner but not overly simplifying it to Christian listeners, and at the same time understandable and accessible in its message.
During mass or church gatherings, Bible messages are read for Christians to hear the words of God, and yet many are also asking why Bible study is further recommended to Christians. There are some reasons by Christian believers would point out as to why it is still needed to do some Bible study. God?s words are reflected on the Bible, and by studying it, we will get to know more about our God, why He thinks in such a way, and what and how He thinks in that context. Through the Bible, we are taught how God operates, thereby being led on how to enjoy His blessings and avoid destruction.
The first reason pointed out why we study the Bible is have some revelation of our position in Christ. Our Lord Jesus Christ in the center in the Bible, as shown from Genesis to Revelation, where it is pointed out that the salvation of mankind is by Jesus. Through Bible study, we are taught how to gain access to victory only in Christ and be able to exercise triumph through Him, thus we are to realize who we are in the Lord and what power we have in Jesus Christ.
Our inheritance in Christ and what belongs to us are revealed in the Bible as we study it. Paul said in Acts 20:32 that through the words of God we will be able to inherit healing, prosperity, long life, peace and ultimately eternal life, and these words are sanctified. This lack of knowledge is said to be the means that devil will cheat or destroy us, and so we have to have knowledge in order to enjoy what we as Christians have inherited from God.
The revelation of our authority over the devil is revealed in the Bible, thus the devil does not have dominion over Christians.
We attain spiritual growth as we read the Bible, just like when we give nourishment to our body when we eat. There is spiritual growth in young Christians who will study the Bible, and hopefully they will become matured Christians who are believers in the word of God in their hearts who are kept away from sins and leading a victorious life under Christ.
